Dean Search
The University of Kansas College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is searching for its next dean. The Dean, as chief administrative officer of the College, is responsible for providing imaginative academic leadership and effective administrative support. The College is the University's largest academic unit, comprising four divisions–humanities, social sciences, international studies, and natural sciences and mathematics–and the newly formed School of the Arts. The College enrolls 15,000 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate students in more than 58 academic departments and programs. Visit the Provost's Office site for more on the position description.
The position is available beginning July 1, 2010. Nominations are due October 15, 2009, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2009, and will continue until a selection is made. All correspondence will be kept confidential, and nominations and inquiries are encouraged.
