Department Resources

COGA is here to assist faculty, directors of graduate study, and department support staff with questions about faculty governance of graduate programs, graduate policy, and related processes.

Here you will find a listing of the most relevant policies governing graduate education at KU, information on petition, program, and curricular processes, as well as a guide to the process of verifying degree completion.  If you have questions about the PTD system--who to contact in COGA about a particular form or what attachments are required--take a look at the PTD Guide.

The DGS Toolkit (in development) will be a resource for directors of graduate study seeking to create change in their graduate programs, and who wish to learn more about innovations and best practices in graduate education.  The Toolkit will offer links to useful templates, examples of successful practices at KU, and research and reports on the most relevant topics in graduate education, including mentoring, degree completion, and career outcomes.
